Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. salutes General (Retired) Colin Powell (April 5, 1937 – October 18, 2021), a national treasure. He was a 35-year veteran of the United States Army, as well as the former United States Secretary of State and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff along with many other prestigious positions.
We celebrate his life’s work, his dedication to community and nation, as well as his humanitarianism. His community service included becoming the Founding Chair of “America’s Promise Alliance”, almost 25 years ago, which continues to focus on youth.
Our condolences and prayers go out to his family and a grateful nation.
