PICTURE ON LEFT: Lady Wanda Beauman, (Front row, 2nd from left), of the Rocky Mountain Colorado Chapter receives the “2011 Living Portraits of African-American Women” honor from the National Council of Negro Women.  Lady Wanda Beauman Ph.D. is a true humanitarian, not only through her efforts in her local community but also in her travels throughout the United States and Africa.

NAACP Youth Council Honors Meritorious Women"

PICTURE ON RIGHT: Lady Gailya Mayfield (1st row 2nd from left) & Lady Miranda Ra'oof (2nd row 4th from left) of the Ladera Heights Chapter were honored on March 19, 2011 as "Meritorious Women".  Lady Gailya was recognized for her outstanding performance in the field of medicine as a Adult Nurse Practitioner, Head Nurse in Drug Rehabilitation Service and many other positions held as she educates and cares for the community in which she serves.  Lady Miranda is an educator who is presently the principal at John Muir Middle School in Los Angeles and is proud to do the work needed in the Inner City.  Lady Merelean Wilson (standing far right),  of the Ladera Heights Chapter is The NAACP Youth Council Advisor.
